Moving in Park Slope
Brownstones mean stoops, multiple floors, and pieces that have been in place for years. Co-ops add building calendars and certificates of insurance. Apartment houses add elevators. The neighborhood contains all three.
Family inventories — kids’ rooms, extra wardrobes, basement or garden-level items — should be listed. A “three-bedroom” label is not an inventory.
Moves to Brooklyn Heights, other Brooklyn neighborhoods, or Manhattan still need both buildings described. Park Slope origin stairs do not disappear because the destination is an elevator tower.
